Yes. There are three different kinds of Best Buy mail-in rebates: rebate checks, Gift Cards, and gift with purchase. Each offer will specify which type of rebate you will receive. We offer mail-in rebates for products purchased online or in our stores, offered by either Best Buy or the manufacturer. To determine what type you have, look for either Best Buy's or the manufacturer's name on the rebate form. It's usually part of the mailing address (e.g. Best Buy Rebate # 55511, Sony VAIO RS Desktop $100 Rebate). Your mail-in rebate will fall into one or more of these categories:
  • Standard — Comes with the purchase of a specified item.
  • Bundle — Offered on certain products when purchased as a set (e.g. desktop, monitor, and printer), it can be either a Best Buy or manufacturer rebate.
  • Upgrade — Available only to customers who own a previous version of the software they intend to upgrade.
  • Gift with Purchase — Offered with the purchase of certain products (e.g. Gift Card or memory card with purchase of a digital camera).
Rebate Tracker makes it convenient to learn the status of Best Buy rebates online. Before checking, please allow at least 2 weeks after submitting your rebate request by mail, or two full business days after submitting a Best Buy rebate online. You'll need to provide the following information from your rebate form and receipt:
Online Purchase
  • Offer number (part of mailing address on rebate form)
  • Order number (top of order receipt)
Store Purchase
  • Offer number (top of rebate form)

Once you find your rebate online, print the rebate form. Do not type directly on the form. Follow these steps to ensure that you receive your rebate:
  1. Read the form completely, including the Terms and Conditions and the Rebate Center Policy. (Please be aware that, unless noted otherwise, rebates are limited to one per product per household or address. Other limitations may also apply.)
  2. Note all proof of purchase requirements (e.g. receipt, UPC label, serial number, offer date).
  3. Make sure that the rebate on the product you've purchased has not expired.
  4. Wait for your purchase to arrive at your home.
  5. Mail the completed rebate form, a copy of your online order receipt, and any required proof of purchase documents to the address shown on the rebate form. (An online, printable receipt is available in the Your Account section once you've placed an order.)

Yes, but each rebate must be submitted individually. Simply click the "Submit another rebate" button on the "Rebate Successfully Submitted" page.
Upgrade rebates allow customers to keep up with the latest software, and also save a little money. They are open only to customers who own a previous version of the software they intend to upgrade. For example, to receive a "Version 7" upgrade rebate, you would need to own an earlier release, say "Version 6," or "5," and so on.

Please read the rebate form carefully to confirm that you own one of the versions of the software eligible for the upgrade rebate you are interested in.
For rebates offered by Best Buy, a UPC may not be required. If a UPC is required, a copy of the UPC is acceptable. Most manufacturers' rebates require the original UPC. If you need multiple UPCs of the same item, read the rebate form completely for instructions. For additional help, contact the manufacturer directly. Remember to make a copy of the UPC and rebate offer for your records.

  • Choose the rebate link near the product image to go directly to the rebate offer page.
  • Go to the Manufacturer's Rebate List in the online Rebate Center and select the manufacturer. Then, look for the product name. Applicable rebates will be listed below it. It will be easier to find your rebate if you have the product's model number handy.
Store Purchase
The sales associate will give you a rebate form when you check out. If you've misplaced your form, bring your receipt to a Best Buy store. A representative at the Customer Service counter can provide you with a copy.
If you submit by mail, your Best Buy rebate will typically arrive within 2-4 weeks, your Manufacturer's rebate will typically arrive within 8 weeks.
